**These are the best Chocolate Covered Cherries I have ever eaten and you just might feel the same way too. This is also a secret recipe, so shhhhh!

Ingredients:

Center Covering For Cherry
1 stick margarine
2-cups finely chopped (or milled) nuts (I use pecans)
2-lbs of powdered sugar
1 package (14 oz) coconut
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 to 5 small jars of maraschino cherries with stems-drained

Directions:

Mix margarine, nuts, powdered sugar, coconut & sweetened condensed milk together with hands. Mix until all ingredients are well combined and powdered sugar is no longer loose. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours. I usually refrigerate overnight, or for a few days.

Take from refrigerator. Begin to take small lumps from mound and press out flat. Press flattened piece around cherry until completely sealed at the top of stem. Place on tray, cover with plastic, refrigerate for at least an hour. I usually refrigerate overnight, or up to a few days.

Chocolate Covering
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (I like milk chocolate best. You may also use a combination of both, or dark chocolate)
1 cube of paraffin wax

Place both chips and paraffin in a double broiler at medium temperature until melted. Stir until well mixed before dipping. Take prepared cherries from refrigerator and begin to dip them into chocolate by holding stem. Dip 2 to 3 times, then place into a small paper, or foil-baking cup. Place on tray again, chill for an hour. Then they are ready to eat, serve, or give as gifts. These can be frozen for up to a year.
