Yummy Peanut Butter DipHello Summer, Hello Thursday and Hello Friends and Family, Can You Believe We Are Just About to Knock At This Weekend’s Door? I know our work week was cut a bit short because of the holiday, but wow, it has come calling quickly!!!! Any big plans for you and your family this weekend? I know we’ve just begun summer, but make sure you take time to enjoy your family and friends…do fun things (it doesn’t have to cost much, or anything really). I’m suggesting play days at the park with a picnic basket, going fishing at your local lake, taking out the boat and enjoying the sunshine (if you have a boat), taking long hikes or walks with your family and friends, visiting local historical attractions, meeting friends at a local pool or a friends pool will do, going skating at the roller rink, visiting one of the fun centers near your home, paint ball, bowling, have a learn to cook day at your home, take time to read a few books this summer with the kids, look for great deals for a fun filled family vacation (and they have great deals out there, I’m thinking a cruise or something like that). There are just so many things you can do, so let the planning begin and don’t forget to gather ideas from your kids too!!!

Needing some new ideas for kid’s snacks? Well, here’s one that I think is rather tasty and it’s pretty healthy too!!! The kids will love helping mix it up (that’s the fun part) and then test tasting it!!!! This one is great to take to the park or on a play date, or just to have around the house when the kids start yelling, “Mom, I’m hungry, can you fix me something to eat?” How well I know this questions!!! LOL Ok, Let’s Go Have Some Fun In The Kitchen, But Make It Quick, Because You’ve Got Some Life To Live!!! Big Happy Hugs, Darcy Diva

Peanut Butter Fruit Dip

Ingredients:

1 (8 ounce) carton low-fat sour cream
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
2-3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well. Cover and chill thoroughly. Serve dip with an assortment of fresh fruit, celery and crackers. (Strawberries, Apple and Banana seem to go over best with most!).

Thought For The Day:

If we magnified our successes as much as we magnify our disappointments, we’d all be much happier.”
