Green Beans Almondine – The Healthy Way



1 lb. fresh green beans
About 1/2 cup of light butter (You can also use Pam to keep it even lighter, but it does taste better with butter)
salt and pepper to taste (I use Cavender’s Greek Seasoning)
1 c. sliced almonds, or chopped pecans (Choose your favorite, or mix them)



Wash and snap the ends of the green beans. Prepare large sauté pan by melting the half a cup of light butter. Place the green beans in the butter and sauté until they are just a little soft, but still firm (add in the almonds or pecans about halfway through the cook time, which will be about 10-15 minutes on medium heat). Place into a serving dish and serve immediately. This is a tasty, healthy and easy way to prepare fresh green beans..
